Street ART Gallery ARTIFEX (Antwerp) presents “Above the Clouds”, a solo exhibition by Oli-B dropping up this Saturday, September 7th.
“ABOVE THE CLOUDS
The artist will present a new serie of canvas and collaborations, and will be present during the opening night. See you there !
Oli-B is a painter, illustrator and street artist from Brussels, Belgium.
His work ranges across a huge array of media: acrylic, spray paint as well as screen printing techniques on a wide variety of surfaces, including paper, canvas, wood, walls or even stickers. Oli-B’s flow operates on various fronts.
Visually, it is fluidity that predominates: gentle curves; abstract forms that both hint at, and escape from, the figurative; colours that are emphatic but balance each other; and a composition that binds everything togethert From his graffiti teenage period he kept what he loved – forms and colours – and started to flirt more with contemporary art. The letters developed in the direction of characters, the characters towards forms.
Oli-B loves the hustle and bustle of big cities and their crowds and uses the streets as a playground. He also makes his art living by integrating it in the urban jungle through collage. His posters and canvas are all hand-painted unique pieces.”

The Urban Art team Low Bros consists of two brothers, Qbrk and Nerd, born in Hamburg, northern Germany. They’re currently live and work in Berlin. When they where children the two brothers loved to draw and invented their own little stories and fantasy worlds while playing in the backyard or being on the countryside. You’ll still find both influences, the urbanic and natural in their today’s works. Later they started to paint graffiti, where also co-founders of the TPL Crew and The Weird, which was founded together with Nychos, Cone, Hr. v. Bias, Dxtr, Rookie, Look and Vidam from Peachbeach and Frau Isa. All times the brothers painted together, but it took a while till they began to create their characters together and developed their own, common, geometric style. Ever since they go by the name Low Bros.

In what will be his first solo presentation of his works in New York City, Scott Campbell will showcase his unique aesthetic via sculptures, paintings and drawings. Campbell has taken the blue collar grit and lore of tattoo culture and extracted a visual language and wit that are supremely refined and deliberate. His uncanny ability to tell a story with any medium, flesh or otherwise, will be on display for his upcoming exhibition, If You Don’t Belong, Don’t Be Long, which will feature all new work.
